As one of the area’s largest mobile healthcare providers, Armstrong is committed to promoting quality patient care through training and education. Our training division facilitates educational programs for all healthcare and allied healthcare providers to keep staff current with today’s standards.
All practicum courses are taught using the most up-to-date medical training equipment. Our instructors use the Laerdal SimMan® 3G—a mannequin the actual size and weight of an average person—to create real life scenarios. Sim-Man can actually talk to your staff, and allows the trainer to assess real-time care and treatment. Please click here to register for classes.

We believe that our service is only as strong as the capability and knowledge of our field providers. That’s why at Armstrong we provide our employees with in-depth, ongoing education and evaluation.
Each new Armstrong employee participates in a comprehensive orientation program that covers all aspects of patient care and includes a Coaching for the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) driving course.
Employees also take part in extensive field training, which uses a dynamic evaluation process between field training officer and field provider, to ensure that all new employees have the skills to meet our high standards. The field training program also provides ongoing performance review.
Armstrong provides numerous continuing education and refresher courses that allow our staff to re-certify their certification without seeking outside education. Our Training and Education department works actively to guarantee that our field staff can provide all skills and care available to practitioners in the Commonwealth.
