It’s work, for sure, but at Armstrong, there’s also play. We feel strongly about work life balance and the benefits of good old fashioned camaraderie! Our annual softball and kickball tourneys bring out the friendly competition on the field with the winners receiving not just a trophy, but also bragging rights for the year. As Armstrong believes that we need to support our communities and underfunded programs, proceeds from events are given to a charity or organization which is selected by the players.
And because there’s a week to celebrate EMS each year, we do that up! EMS Week is always a fan favorite with food trucks, scavenger hunts, gifts, concert ticket raffles, breakfasts and snacks. You name it, we’ve got it!
We also know we need to be part of the solution to the many issues and challenges that are all around us. In that regard, Armstrong’s annual Red Cross Blood Drive allows staff to donate the much needed gift of life right here at our headquarters. Our community partners also join in as we exceed the goal of blood collected every year.
Sadly, food insecurity is far too common in many of our cities and towns. Armstrong donates yearly to the Boston Food Bank in honor of our incredible staff and the nurses, doctors, and other clinicians with which we have the pleasure of working with on a daily basis.
Additionally, Armstrong holds canned good and warm weather clothing drives to support those who need basic essentials.
At Armstrong, you make a difference in so many ways! Oh yeah…we also have a company pup named Willie Blue. Now how can you resist a four legged friend who loves to greet you at the beginning or end of your shift?
